Terms of service

The short version: an adult buys it, a child uses it, and the AI can still be wrong.

Effective August 25, 2026

Who this agreement is with

Lysro is licensed to an adult — a parent or legal guardian — who sets it up and hands it to a child in their care. By creating an account you confirm you are that adult, and you accept responsibility for how the account is used on your child's device.

Your child uses Lysro through your account. They do not have one of their own.

What Lysro is, and what it is not

Lysro is a real AI assistant with a safety floor underneath it and guardrails you control. Like every AI assistant, it can be confidently wrong, and it is not a source of truth for anything that matters.

It is not a doctor, a lawyer, a therapist, or a teacher, and it will not pretend to be one. It is not a supervision service and it is not a substitute for your attention. If your child is in danger or in crisis, contact your local emergency services.

The safety floor and the moderation around it reduce risk. They do not eliminate it, and no one who tells you otherwise about a language model is describing something real.

The trial, and what you pay

Setting up is free and asks for no card. The card is asked for at the moment you hand the device to your child, and the 7-day free trial starts at that hand-over — not when you sign up.

After the trial the plan is $14/month, or $126/year if you chose the annual plan at hand-over.

You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps chat open through the period you have already paid for. Payments already made are not refunded, on either plan.

If a renewal payment fails, access continues for a short grace period and then stops until the payment is fixed.

Using it fairly

Do not use Lysro to break the law, to harm anyone, to get around the safety floor, or to attack the service — including automated access to the landing-page demonstration, which exists for people deciding whether to buy.

Do not resell access or share your account outside your household.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from the account menu, which erases your household's data as described in our privacy notice.

We may suspend or end an account that is being used in breach of these terms, or where continuing would put a child at risk. Where the situation allows it, you will be told why.

Limits

Lysro is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular answer will be correct or appropriate for your child.

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes, and how to reach us

We will post changes here with a new date and, where they matter, send them to the address on your account. This version is effective August 25, 2026.
